Many youths are missing out on the positive impact that youth centres used to offer. As a result, this has led to greater exposure and susceptibility to gang activity, anti-social behaviour and violent crimes.
Families have fallen under the radar for numerous reasons which include lack of adequate support from youth projects due to closures of youth centres and unemployment with the rise of issues such as domestic violence, substance abuse, suicide, homelessness and immigration.
